Access to Justice/Bar Leaders Conference, June 3-5, Kennewick, Washington State

Access to Justice, Bar Leaders Conference will take place on June 3-4 2011 in Kennewick, WA.  The purpose of this annual event is to “…learn, build community, tackle difficult problems and renew their commitment to equal justice for all.”  Some of the issues which will be discussed at the conference:

  • Racial disparity in the justice system;
  • Bias, ethics and supervising non-lawyer volunteers;
  • Immigration status as a barrier to justice;
  • Reducing bias by increasing inclusion with technology.
